Xiaomi Mi 5 with Snapdragon 820, 4GB RAM is Launched

Xiaomi, the Chinese smartphone maker company has finally launched its Flagship smartphone for the year 2016 and the most awaited also, Xiaomi Mi 5. Xiaomi unveiled this smartphone at Mobile World Congress. This Handset is launched in Three different variants, that are:-

• Xiaomi Mi5 with 1.8GHz quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor, 32GB storage, 3GB RAM, 3D curved glass body, priced at 1,999 yuan(Rs 20,950)
• Xiaomi Mi5 with 2.15GHz quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor, 64GB storage, 3GB RAM, 3D curved glass body Priced at 2,299 yuan ( Rs 25,000)
• Xiaomi Mi5 Pro with 2.15GHz quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor, 128GB storage, 4GB RAM, 3D ceramic body priced at 2,699 yuan (Rs 29,300)

Among the best features of this handset, some key features are like metal and ceramic, Snapdragon 820 chipset, brighter screen, and better camera.

The new Xiaomi Mi5 has a 5.15-inch Full HD display that is 30% brighter. Resolution of the screen is 1080 x 1920 pixels. Currently, It runs on Android Lollipop-based MIUI 7. This handset comes with 3D glass body and curved design.

This handset is powered by latest Snapdragon 820 processor coupled with 3GB or 4GB RAM with support for onboard storage option of 32GB and 64GB respectively. While the 4GB RAM version of Mi5 comes with Ceramic Back called as Xiaomi Mi 5 Pro which has 128GB onboard storage.

Xiaomi first time used a physical Home button in its Mi5 Model which also has a fingerprint scanner in it. There is NFC support available for this handset.

Talking about the camera, Xiaomi Mi 5 has 16 MP rear camera with dual-LED Flash. The camera features 4-Axis OIS and f/2.0 aperture. There is Sony IMX 298 image sensor comes with phase detection, autofocus and deep trench isolation technology. The rear camera is capable of recording 4K videos. As per rumours, this rear camera of Mi5 captures more beautiful pictures than iPhone 6 and 6s also. On the other side, the front camera is equipped with 5MP.

This Handset has Battery of 3000mAh with supports to Quick charge 3.0 which provides 4 hours of battery life on the charge of 10 minutes. This smartphone comes with CAT12 LTE modem with speed up to 600 Mbps, which company claimed that will download the 1080p movie in just 30sec. It also comes with VoLTE support.

For connectivity, Xiaomi Mi 5 supports 4G+ (also called LTE-Advanced) networks for faster downloads (up to Cat12), NFC, and USB Type C.

The entry- and mid-level Xiaomi Mi 5 variants will be available in gold, white and black colours, whereas the top-end ceramic model will be available only in black.
