Microsoft’s Cortana teamed up with CyanogenMod and first update is rolling out for OnePlus one

Microsoft has been opening their platform for other system also and Cortana is latest platform that has been started by Microsoft and now Finally Microsoft teamed up with Cyanogen developers to have integrated Microsoft’s Cortana digital assistant in Cyanogen, and the update is now rolling out to the OnePlus One.

Cyanogen says that the Cyanogen OS 12.1.1 update is now rolling out to the OnePlus One, bringing with it Cortana. The assistant is deeply integrated into the OS, with this you can do simple things like check weather, make a call, send a message without touching your phone, toggling your phone’s mode like quiet mode or airplane mode etc. you just have to activate Cortana with the “Hey, Cortana’’ phrase.

OnePlus one has another option also that they use Google Now hence Cyanogen says that “you don’t have to use Cortana if you don’t want to” because you get an option to Uninstall Cortana completely from you device by going into settings>Apps>All>Cortana and click Uninstall.

Hopefully, Microsoft and Cyanogen will continue to improve this integration so that we get decent levels of voice assisted process in mobiles in future.
